Square One Shopping Centre

H&J provided electrical engineering design services for the revitalization and expansion of the Square One Shopping Centre in downtown Mississauga for Oxford Properties. The project was divided over multiple phases beginning in 2012, including a 150,000 sq. ft. expansion, 300,000 sq. ft. two-level parking garage and High Voltage infrastructure upgrade. This design included the implementation of Oxford’s Properties first DALI lighting control system in a retail centre. A network of over 40 High Voltage switches was upgraded and replaced as part of this project providing the property with multiple redundancies on their high voltage feeds to the building. Our team collaborated and coordinaed with the local utility and the City Council on all infrastructure upgrades and site works throughout the project phases. H&J assisted in the development of new pedestrian scale lighting on the exterior with Oxford Properties and the City.
