Shops at Don Mills

H&J provided electrical engineering design for this open air concept shopping centre located in Toronto since its construction in 2009. The original development was situated on top of the existing mall and included a new 2-storey office building, 12 retail buildings, and interconnection to the existing 6 storey office situated on the site, and 4 level above grade parkade. The buildings are centred around a park and communal area complete with fountain and skating rink in the winter. The property fire alarm was specially designed as a ‘campus style’ system and interconnected the various stand-alone buildings together. The original mall construction occurred at the beginning of the LED lighting era and included first generation LED lighting throughout.
